After buying an iPad 2 last year, I wrote this about the Logos app:
I anticipate this being one of my favorite apps in the near future, but I almost never use it now because I can’t highlight the text or add notes to resources. (Very frustrating!) I’m waiting for Logos to enable those features to sync with Logos 4 across all platforms. Logos is working on this and has promised that these features are on the way.
It’s now here.
Logos recently announced and explained its updated app. I’ve been testing it out, and it’s beautiful!
This 55-second video shows you how easy it is to use on an iPad and iPhone:

That video doesn’t show the app’s most important feature: notes and highlighting sync across all platforms. So if you highlight words on your phone, they will also be highlighted when you pull up that resource on an iPad or computer; if you add a note on your desktop or laptop, that note will appear when you pull up that resource on your iPhone or iPad; etc.
Happiness.

Excellent news! I’ve been waiting for this.

My one complaint is that it does not allow you to pull up your notes next to your open book. I would have possibly made the leap to iPad if I could have had notes beside my open book (like Olive Tree allows).

Thanks, Jason. But I think we can agree that the new update is something to celebrate and be grateful for. It’s a huge improvement.
FYI: I shared your “one complaint” with Logos and learned that they eventually want to deliver all kinds of non-resource panels in the mobile app. So that will probably be a future update.

Still can’t get my reading plans to sync from Logos desktop to my iOS devices. Is it just me?
Jason Alligood says
Yes indeed, Andy! Please forgive me for sounding so negative. I am so very thankful for the resources that Logos provides, and this is truly a huge added feature to the mobile platform. Good to hear they are still developing for the future!
