Books at a Glance is an online service that just launched this month. Fred Zaspel, the editor, has put together a team of book review editors and a board of reference (on which I’m happy to serve).
Fred Zaspel has excellent theological instincts, and he is serving readers by helping them keep up with the best books as they release.
The book reviews and author interviews are free, so you may want to follow Books at a Glance on Twitter or add the site to your RSS feed.
The genius of the site is the weekly book summaries. Such executive summaries are common in the business world, and Books at a Glance does it for Christians. The book summaries condense the leading argument(s) of a book, chapter by chapter, into 7–10 pages. This enables you to keep informed and up to date. It also helps you know whether you should purchase particular books to go deeper.
The book summaries are for premium members. The pricing options are reasonable (given the amount of work Fred Zaspel and his team are putting in), and you can start with a risk-free 30-day trial.
