I'm thankful to Dr Naselli for calling attention to the best of the evangelical movement (there truly are some wonderful things happening) and I am equally grateful that Dr McCune has helped me better to understand my fundamentalist brethren (am I allowed to use that phrase?). I realize that my comments probably make me sound like a typical evangelical who wants to have my doctrinally pure theological cake and eat it too and not offend anyone in the process, but that's the perennial rub isn't it? It's sometimes hard to triangulate conviction with courage and compassion, but it's certainly worth the effort.
