Abortion
I just listened to Justin Taylor’s Sunday morning sermon on abortion that he preached at his church on January 18, 2009. Three words come to mind:
- Sobering
- Convicting
- Motivating
After listening to Justin’s sermon, I have the kind of feeling that I might have felt if I could have watched Schindler’s List while living near Nazi concentration camps while WWII was still in progress. How can this unspeakably horrific evil legally be happening all around me? What am I doing about it?

Obama is “the most extreme pro-abortion candidate to have ever run on a major party ticket.”
Robert George’s “Obama’s Abortion Extremism” is moving.
For a summary of Robert George’s impressive background as well as a summary of the article, see Justin Taylor’s “Robert P. George: ‘Voting for the Most Extreme Pro-Abortion Political Candidate in American History Is Not the Way to Save Unborn Babies.’”
Update (10/16/08): Robert George and Yuval Levin’s “Obama and Infanticide” argues, “Obama’s latest excuse for opposing the Illinois Born-Alive Infants Protection Act is that the law was ‘unnecessary’ because babies surviving abortions were already protected. It won’t fly.”
Mohler on Sarah Palin’s Fifth Child (May 2008)
This morning John McCain announced his VP: Sarah Palin.
Almost four months ago, Al Mohler highlighted the Palin family in an article (“Welcome to the World, Trig Paxson Van Palin“) and on his radio show (also titled “Welcome to the World, Trig Paxson Van Palin“).
Here’s a description of the radio show:
A little boy with an extra chromosome was born on April 18. His name is Trig Paxson Van Palin and his new home is the Alaska Governor’s Mansion in Juneau. His mom is Governor Sarah Palin, who along with her husband Todd, has welcomed Trig as their second son and fifth child.
On today’s show, Mohler explains why Trig’s very existence defies the Culture of Death and gives us all hope.
Infanticide: Comparing Ancient Greco-Roman Practices with Modern America
“If by chance you bear a child, if it is a boy, let it be, if it is a girl, expose it.”
Those chilling words are a husband’s instructions to his wife in a letter dated 1 B.C. (documented below).
